Soft rubber stamp pad, good tools, needs manual dexterity

The stamp pad is soft enough to carve, but a bit difficult to control. Both sides can be used as I'll do since my first effort was not as accurately caved as I'd like. The next attempt will go better.

I really wish the instructions were a bit more clear. My kit did not come with a wooden pencil tracing tool.

Do not buy. The beginning instructions are unclear about how to use the included graphite paper and stock images. The carving tools are super blunt, making it more difficult, and therefore dangerous, to carve. They are also not fine enough to get the details of the stock images. You would be better off buying some decent X-Acto knives and rubber to carve the stamps using your own drawn images or images found online, at which point you could skip this kit entirely.

Absolutely terrible directions. There are only pictures for the “simple” directions and the pictures are confusing. Once you think you understand, you try it out and it doesn’t work at all.
