Love this for music therapy… writing a melody with a client and then putting it on the music box as a keepsake!

Musical

In 2009, I bought one of your music box mechanisms as a gift for my mom. She and I would select melodies to punch out on the strips. This was a meaningful activity, and as Mom’s Alzheimer’s intensified these melodies could trigger her memory and engagement. My mom is gone now, and I re-mounted the music box mechanism on a wooden box that I painted and embellished with medals and pins and medallions from my life that remind me of important people and life events. Inside it, I store the melody cards that Mom and I created together. My recent purchase is so that I could have a “back-up” just in case I ever need to replace the mechanism. Thanks for this GREAT INVENTION!
