Loved it! Magnet very strong. Ringer loud but pleasant.

cute but not functional

Upon reading the other reviews, I made sure to read the directions and make sure I turn it the opposite way. It rang the first time I used it! not a very pleasant ring but I was glad it worked. It's pretty much stopped working since then, ticks but never rings. as others have said, defeats the purpose. It's cute but I either got a defective one or they're faulty.

Counter-clockwise

The instructions on the box are wrong. Instead, the first turn is clockwise, the second should be counter-clockwise.

I didn't realize it was a magnet! That was a super fun discovery. We also got the blue one which happened to be the best match for our kitchen of all the options. Our kitchen stove works perfectly except the digital read outs, and our house is mid-century, so this was perfect.
